welcome to the bombay girl chronicles
“The Fourth Seat Of The Local For The Tired, TBGC For The Soul”
Founder's note:
A VIRTUAL SPACE TO BREATHE IN THIS CHAOTIC CITY
If you’re reading this, I’m grateful to have you here, taking time to linger over pieces of literature that are homegrown, realistic, and unmistakably Bombay.
The Bombay Girls Chronicles began as a need felt by someone who was lonely in a city of millions. Someone curious enough to want to know it all, and everyone. A place where she could rest her mind and quiet her ambitious self, without dulling it.
TBGC is meant to motivate, but also to hold space, to push forward, but to love the soul while doing so.
Growing up in this city, I saw myself everywhere. I believed I could be anyone, and that belief left me confused, about who I was and who I wanted to become. And then I realized, I am a Bombay girl. Curious, easily lost in ambition, cluttered at times, yet somehow always making it work.
TBGC is everything I’ve learned about Bombay, and everything I’m still learning about myself. My only hope, for now, is that every Bombay girl who finds her way here knows she isn’t alone, that she’s surrounded by girls who feel just like her.
Welcome to TBGC, our small, virtual, rented apartment in Bombay.
